I have experience working with a very diverse set of individuals over the course of my career in the mental health field. Most individuals I work with struggle with issues that are considered dual diagnosis, or individuals that struggle with both mental health and substance use issues. I have experience working with all different ages, ethnicities, sexual orientation, mental health issues, and substance use preferences. I also come from a lens of years of lived experiences and being able to offer a lens of "coming out the other side." I provide an empathetic atmosphere that is goal orientated, and comes from an unbiased lens.
I offer an open ear that has gone through many of the same things my client's have. I enjoy building a positive, supportive, therapeutic relationship, where individuals feel at ease to share what there struggling with, and are open to looking at situations and experiences from a different lens.
Understanding the connection between mental health and substance use is crucial in overcoming the difficulties of these concerns. I have lived it, learned it, and now want to provide knowledge and support in helping others get through the deep pains that comes with these struggles. I get the most joy of watching people grow and succeed into their new future.
