Therapy for Men, In-Person, In Seattle - I work with men on the internal issues that are showing up in their lives. When relationships fray, affairs or divorce happens, layoffs, depression, stress, anger or numbness rear their ugly heads - it can be time to stop and figure out what needs to be addressed. As a man - a father, a son, a husband, a brother, a friend myself - I am acutely aware of the internal worlds of men, and the external rules that often keep us from talking about what is going on inside.

Some men learn that their feelings and vulnerabilities should be hidden away from the world, even from their own awareness. Some men rebel against that and lose connection to the raw energy that is at the heart of being a man. For both of these, I work on integration.

I often work with men who've had little or no experience in therapy. That's OK. I try to keep things clear, and focused on what YOU need. And I understand the trepidation of opening up about thoughts, emotions and wants to someone you don't know well. I always keep that in mind as we begin our work together.
