We all get to a point where the suffering becomes more than we can handle, and we all have to find ways to cope with it.
My goal is to help relieve people of suffering caused by maladaptive patterns of feeling, thinking and behaving that they have been conditioned to repeat over time. I do this by building a relationship with them, then allowing that relationship to be the template for healthy interactions in life and a realistic perception of themselves and their situation.
In order to help my clients learn to care for themselves and connect to others, I use a combination of mindfulness based cognitive therapy, psychoanalysis, and logotherapy in an environment of acceptance, unconditional positive regard, and personal accountability. When we know where you are and what you want, I will help you make it happen.
I see my job as helping you reduce suffering with rational, practical solutions for the person you are, given the situation you’re in. That solution starts with having someone who will listen to your concerns, empathize with your feelings, and tell you the truth without judgment. If that’s what you need, I’d be glad to help.
