I am a warm, caring therapist with a sense of humor and extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults. I specialize in helping people with problems resulting from anxiety, depression, anger, and relationship difficulties at work and in school. I am particularly skilled at building rapport with difficult and treatment resistant clients. As a clinical psychologist I have extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and have seen many clients improve with these techniques. I have helped people overcome their problems in a variety of settings including hospitals, university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and schools.

I have extensive knowledge and experience working within special education. I worked for over ten years as a psychologist for Fairfax County Public Schools, counseling adolescents with significant mental health issues. Having treated these young people makes me a valuable resource for parents involved in the special education process.

I am a former adjunct professor of psychology at George Washington University and am credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. My practice is located two blocks from the Rosslyn Metro Station on the Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines.
