At The Care Center I help clients dealing with issues including depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, previous traumas, and life adjustment issues. I also help marriages or couples dealing with infidelity, blended family issues, conflict, communication issues, and couples in crisis. My philosophy is to find the roots of the problems and resolve them rather than simply helping learn awkward coping skills. At The Care Center you won't learn empathic/active listening, I statements or deep breathing techniques. We work on healing wounds and rebuilding trust. When you do these things you don't need more "coping skills."
I have specialized in trauma recovery and marital/couples counseling for 12+ years. I am level 2 certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This is the highest level offered from the EMDR institute. I also have training in the Gottman Method of Couples Counseling (see www.gottman.com)
The Care Center is conveniently located at Easton. We know how hard it can be to ask for help which is why we will offer an initial appointment within one week of you calling. Sometimes within a day or two. We offer early evening and Saturday appointments.
