The human mind and body is a vastly complex and amazing system, with immeasurable capacity for both pain and healing. I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Seeking Safety, which is a curriculum-based approach to treatment of co-occurring substance use and PTSD. I deeply values everyone’s unique worldviews and beliefs; and operate under the assumption that those things are an important part of any path taken to well-being.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and is tailored to each client’s individual need, often built on CBT, mindfulness, and existential therapeutic approaches, and always uses a strengths-based approach, focusing on the positive qualities that a client has available to him or her.
