I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Heidi Johanson, LPC-S. I graduated with a MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I have had experience in working with clients who have depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD/Trauma, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, Domestic violent relationships, substance use disorders and life adjustment stressors. My goal as a counselor is to find a tailored approach to meeting each client's specific needs to help uncover their strength. After having a successful career in corporate America, l followed my passion for clinical counseling. I can integrate Christian values with my counseling expertise. I have gradually centered my work around people dealing with trauma, addiction, attachment struggles and OCD because I identify with the experience and have experienced healing myself. Complex trauma, attachment difficulties, addiction and OCD often cause chronic emotional disregulation. The attention grabbing power of the past or the future remove connection with the present and the people in it. Additionally, persistent negative beliefs about oneself, God or others make progress feel too hard or a fleeting and disappointing experience. Helping people find freedom and start living is the passion that fuels my work.

I am dedicated to helping my clients heal from trauma, grow in self-awareness, and find and establish their identity and value. My husband and I walked through infidelity in our relationship and I compassionately understand the devastation betrayal has on a partner, a relationship, and a family. I understand the difficult questioning that occurs after a betrayal and the excruciating work it takes to become healthy and maintain wholeness. Asking for help is often difficult, however my client-centered approach creates a safe, non-judgmental space for you to process and begin healing.
