I approach people from a non-judgmental mindset, treating them with respect and dignity. Many of the people I see struggle with major life altering events such as divorce and/or addiction. Many others have come from abusive environments, which interfere with their ability to form healthy connections with others. What these people often share is the feeling of being overwhelmed. I do problem solving; figuring out with you what is the nature of the problem which brings you to me and what can we do about it. Mostly I treat anxiety and depression. I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults into their 30's who are struggling with any level of anxiety or depression. This generation tends to put the world on their shoulders, but forget to care for themselves. The pressure to "be successful" and fit society's expectations often causes anxiety and depression.
