From the outside looking in, people see someone who “has it together.” Perhaps this is related to your family, job, marriage or community. From the inside looking out, you see a world full of pressures, expectations and a need to cultivate happiness for those in your life, sometimes at the expense of your own sanity. I often hear from clients that they feel “stuck” in the same cycle of life and can’t seem to find satisfaction, despite having many of life’s “checkboxes” marked off. Experiences of chronic anxiety and worry are common though they keep moving through the motions of life.

I sought out specific training in mental health and human development while obtaining my B.S. in Psychology at Virginia Tech and my MSW from the University of Pittsburgh. I have training and a background in working with individuals with a variety of presenting concerns such as: adjustment disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, trauma, interpersonal and relational stressors, and life changes and transitions.

What we know for sure is that life is beautifully complex. No one is exempt from new challenges, life transitions, pain or conflict.
