This client would present with symptoms of depression secondary to a recent loss (usually death of a loved one). The client is provided a safe place to vent their emotions and provided guidance in identifying the stages of grief and loss as well as guidance on how to handle their emotions while still being a productive member of society in their respective stage of life.
