I have been successful in the past with all manner of clients through many different settings – male, female, transgender, heterosexual, LGBTQ+, in inpatient, outpatient, technician, assessment, or even consulting settings. I also really enjoy working with teens and adolescents, since early brain-based interventions help everyone succeed even more in their lifetime. I find that my personality and style seem to fit best with clients who feel they are trapped in a negative routine, have no one with which to talk, or no way out of the situation from which they suffer.

You deserve therapy as unique as you are. I am a master's degree (M.S.-R.L.S.) Recreational Therapist (RT) in private practice at Inclusion Therapies. I provide outpatient rehabilitation Recreational Therapy (i.e., Experiential Activity-Based) for mental and physical optimum health (both online telehealth and in-person sessions). At our Lake Travis location, the Center for Therapeutic Recreation Technology (CTRT), we provide techniques including biofeedback, Ecotherapy (Nature therapy), video gaming, and virtual reality therapy. In the greater Austin, Texas area we provide limited Community-Based sessions.

While I pull from multiple modes of therapy, it is common for me to use tools from biofeedback, mindfulness, CBT, IFS, and more. My style is equitable and relational, with previous clients saying that my humorous, laid-back approach to therapy put them at ease quickly. There is no power hierarchy: I am the expert in mental health; you are the expert in your life. We need both to have a successful and productive counseling relationship!
