Jennifer is an evidence based therapist but also takes a person centered approach allowing clients to feel they have autonomy in their treatment. She works to build a friendly, non judgmental, and open space to allow clients to feel comfortable when discussing personal issues. She aims to empower her clients by providing psychoeducation and giving patients the working tools to improve their lives. Jennifer specializes in trauma focused treatment and has worked with the military, veterans, and their families for the last 5 years. She is certified or trained in the following treatments CBT, CPT, and EMDR therapy.

The focus of my work is to support individuals, families, couples, and children/teenagers when they are dealing with the challenges of loss due to an illness or other issues related to loss. I strive to help my clients cope with the difficult prospects of loss such as death, suicide, divorce, marital discord, terminal illness, chronic illness, job loss, and the challenges it brings to the client, and their family.

Guided by Biblical principles and sound scientific research in the field of psychology, I will partner with you aiming to help you process, grow, and integrate lessons learned through the hardships you may be currently facing with the goal of helping you develop and strengthen skills and healthy habits that will benefit you long after counseling ceases. With a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling, I believe in the work of this field.
