The step you are taking is one of the most difficult and frightening, and it requires great courage to take it. I know, I've been there myself. But, because of that, I also know what awaits on the other side, as well as what it takes to get there. What I am offering is to accompany you within those dark, frightening, painful areas of life we so often get lost in. At a pace of your choosing, we will explore and shine light in those areas so they become less frightening. Then, we will work to find a way out of that darkness and will go through, around, or over any barriers hindering your success.
I believe our greatest strength comes from our loved ones, and for over 10 years, I have worked with children, adolescents (males in particular), and their families to improve communication, increase understanding, and become more cohesive. I also specialize in and am passionate about helping those struggling with addiction to overcome that burden.
While working with children, adolescents, and their families in multiple settings (residential, in-home, and outpatient), part of my job has been to assess and determine the best ways to manage behaviors while also working with the client to process any underlying thoughts, feelings, and/or emotions that might be driving those behaviors.
