Welcome. I provide therapy services to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Much of my clinical experience is with youth who struggle with psychiatric concerns such as depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, as well as youth who have been victims of trauma and abuse. I also have extensive experience working with youth in the LGBTQ+ community. I aim to always provide empathy and non-judgmental support during periods of difficulty, change, and transition for youth and help them build the skills to be happy, healthy, and successful individuals with meaningful and fulfilling interpersonal relationships.

While everyone is facing challenging times based on many circumstances that life is presenting, its important to know that you are not alone. Often times, we have difficulty coping with life stressors. That can result in becoming withdrawn, experience difficulty in relationships, or face increased anxiety. I believe that our experiences from birth, adolescents years, and into our adult life have a tremendous impact on our worldview. My approach involves collaborating with my clients to explore the impact of past experiences in order to develop the healthy coping skills needed to face life's challenges.

I am a second-year graduate level intern training as a dance/movement therapist at Sarah Lawrence College. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic approach, which is person-centered, trauma informed, and culturally competent. I utilize dance, movement, evidence-based counseling techniques, and other intersecting art forms to explore each individual’s mind-body connection, integrating social, emotional, cognitive, and physical wellbeing.

As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am passionate about assisting clients with identity acceptance, LGBTQIA+ care, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues; I specialize in the social, emotional, and academic challenges of childhood. For over 30 years I have maintained a private practice woking with adults, children, couples, families and groups. I am also a certified divorce mediator. I have a degree in Special and Elementary Education.and have taught courses in assertiveness training and a divorce workshop for many years. I supervised the out patient department in Catholic Community Services for Six years. I also have worked in an eating disorders clinic and am familiar with 12 step programs. At this time, due to the amount of people who are in need of counseling, I am limiting my practice and am not working with young children or Anyone with eating disorders.
