I believe that the most important part of therapy is the client's relationship with the therapist. I use a combination of different treatment methods including CBT, trauma informed therapy, somatic therapies, motivational interviewing and ERP. I incorporate alternative therapies such as meditation, mindfulness, and elements of yoga practices. I wholeheartedly believe in the body mind connection.
I specialize in treating clients experiencing anxiety such as PTSD, generalized anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, social anxiety, postpartum depression/anxiety, addiction/loving someone with an addiction, stress due to relationship/family issues/transitions, etc. I have successfully helped many clients, allowing them to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
I have worked in the mental health field for 12+ years. I have worked in clinics, on trauma teams, court programs, and in schools. I’m a mom of 2. I love learning and continue to study psychotherapies and meditation/mindfulness practices. I combine my work experience, education and life experience to provide a clinical but down to earth approach to therapy.
