After 10 years in marketing, I pursued my calling to work with individuals, couples and families as they re-imagine their lives and relationships. Together, we address concerns like anxiety, chronic illness, grief, marital issues and family conflict. I also work with postpartum depression including traumatic births and parents of children with special needs. I know that taking a step into the unknown can be scary and overwhelming, but I believe that beginning this journey will change your life.

I am a licensed professional counselor, nationally certified school psychologist, and licensed professional educator. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Linguistics, with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies, from Northwestern University. I subsequently attended Northern Illinois University, where I earned my Master of Arts in Psychology and Specialist in School Psychology degrees. I currently work full-time as an Early Childhood School Psychologist and have considerable experience conducting psychological assessments for individuals ages 2-22 in educational and clinical settings.

Life can be challenging. I am here to help you navigate those challenges and grow throughout the journey. I welcome all clients with acceptance, patience, and humor. As a certified perinatal mental health clinician I am committed to working with women and men at any point in the parenting journey and the emotional challenges that present along the way.

My desire is to provide empathic therapy for adults, adolescents, and children who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, or relationship issues. There are varieties of reasons why people seek counseling, but no matter what the motivation, I believe they want and need to be accepted right where they are. I approach each person's unique story from a nonjudgmental position, as I seek to understand their perspective in an effort to help them overcome their challenges. Developing a therapeutic relationship is important as the client and I work together in deciding, developing, and pursuing agreed upon objectives. I consider it a privilege to serve others and help them for a time on their life's journey.

I work with individuals and couples both in person and online, via telehealth. I've worked frequently with trauma and have received EMDR and Gottman Level 1 training. I believe in the power of perspective and utilizing internal strengths to overcome life’s difficulties and hardships. Therapy is a great way to explore what has been holding you back in life and find new pathways to changes in your life that you desire. I know this process can be difficult and I work hard to ensure that my office is a judgment-free safe space where you can explore yourself and the process.

Together, we can set short/long term goals, identify negative thought and behavior patterns, develop a variety of coping skills, and gain new insight with each session. Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in adults and adolescents with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, survivors of personality disordered abuse, and couples therapy. Katie graduated from DePaul University with her BA in psychology in 2008 and Loyola University of Chicago, School of Social work in 2012 with her MSW. Katie has experience with a wide variety of clients including: Military Veterans/families, inpatient and outpatient hospitalization, and clients with legal involvement. Katie assists her clients move toward healing and reaching personal goals to improve overall quality of life.

I specialize in women's mental health, including but not limited to, anxiety, OCD and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health therapist, through Postpartum Support International. Providing therapy to women who are struggling during pregnancy, postpartum and infertility and loss is a main focus of my treatment. I also hold certifications in both domestic violence and sexual assault crisis intervention. Additionally, I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), effective for both anxiety and OCD.

l work with persons dealing with Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Bipolar Disorder, Anger Management, Stress Management, Self Esteem, Relationship Communications, Co-Dependency, and Divorce. The therapeutic strategies that I utilize are evidence-based such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Along with client input, I help you to develop coping strategies and new skills to mitigate current stressors, improve self-compassion, cultivate a sense of self-value and increase resiliency.

I specialize in working with adolescents, but enjoy helping clients of all ages navigate the ups and downs of everyday life. I have experience helping clients manage symptoms and experiences surrounding self-esteem and awareness, school anxiety, family conflict and executive functioning.

Christine is an experienced therapist who engages clients in the therapeutic process by developing treatment goals based on clients' individual needs. She partners with clients to develop a treatment plan that utilizes the clients' support system which may include their family and other medical providers in order to ensure appropriate treatment goals are set and achieved. Christine enjoys engaging clients in the therapeutic process by giving value to each client's perspective through her client-centered approach. Christine has experience working with adolescents and adults.

I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Schaumburg. I am passionate about women's issues and I developed a therapy program for reducing postpartum depression while increasing the mother-infant bond for my clinical research project. I obtained an emphasis in Health Psychology that included training in hypnosis, relaxation techniques, pain management, and stress reduction. Additionally, I have an extensive background in domestic violence ad sexual assault. My therapeutic approach is eclectic utilizing interpersonal psychotherapy, CBT, feminist theory, solutions focused therapy, and client centered therapy.

Hello! My name is Crystal Villegas (she/her/hers). I began my career in Phoenix, Arizona soon after graduating and took a huge leap of faith in 2020 and moved to the amazing city of Chicago where I have continued my career as a bilingual Spanish-speaking counselor. I have a background in social work, where I have worked primarily in child protective services, foster care, and adoptions. I also received my Crisis Intervention and Victimology Certifications in 2013, which allowed me the opportunity to work alongside law enforcement in the victim services department in Tucson, Arizona.
