I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida, a Qualified Supervisor for those seeking licensure, Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and Guardian Ad Litem. I enjoy working with individuals and families to help them through life stressors, adverse events and work collaboratively toward their wellness goals. I primarily offer individual therapy, helping client's identify and modify maladaptive patterns that contribute to feelings of distress. These may include negative thought patterns that influence mood and behavior, difficulty controlling excessive worrying, experiencing unhealthy emotions and behaviors associated with trauma, and difficulties adjusting to different life stressors. I view therapy as the process of developing a deeper level of awareness that leads to better understanding of oneself, personal growth, and motivation to strive for healthy changes.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Potsdam and my Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University. I integrate strength-based and holistic approaches in my practice, including person-centered therapy, humanistic therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. I dedicate time to exploring and identifying your unique needs, tailoring my approach to meet your individual requirements. I enjoy working with young adults through the transitional stages in their lives.

It’s okay to feel stuck. We all dwell on our mistakes and difficulties. But it’s important to draw a line, beyond which we stop dwelling and begin acting to improve our emotional, mental, and physical health. Progress doesn’t always look the way we want it to and that’s okay. This is why we set goals for ourselves so when we reach those goals, we can look back or be still in the moment and see the progressions along the way. Making progress and being in a better space than we were is the goal. We know that change is hard and making minor progress elicits the change we want to see in ourselves.
