If you feel anxious, odd, or out of place I want to help you connect with what matters to you. I work with autistic adults, other neurodivergent folks, and individuals experiencing anxiety. We all deserve a life where we can truly be ourselves. I will support you in harnessing your strengths to pursue the goals you care about. Goals might include building more supportive relationships, combating self-stigma, alleviating burnout, or better understanding and communicating your needs.
I know that owning a human brain can be really annoying at times, especially when your brain operates differently than those around you. I incorporate tools such as humor, mindfulness, and geeky metaphors to help people navigate challenging situations on their terms. I use evidence based techniques, primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
My approach is creative and collaborative. I try to create a space where the people I work with feel seen and respected. I encourage people to take active steps toward a life they care about even when such steps seem daunting. I know seeking therapy can be a challenging experience - please email or call if you have any questions.
