I consider myself a Behavioral Therapist and use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as the main mode of therapy, but also use Mindfulness and Solutions Focused Therapy, focusing on person centered thoughts, ideas and strengths.
I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the past 17 years and have worked in many different types of community services such as Geropsych, Hospice, Inpatient Psych and now working with Domestic Violence survivors and their alleged offenders - adults and children through the military. I’m also trained as a Forensic Child Interviewer. I’m well versed in personality disorders and mood disorders, along with aging and marital issues. I am licensed in Arkansas (private pay and some insurances), North Dakota and Nevada.

I utilize person centered therapy interventions and cognitive behavioral techniques to create comfort, compassion, and understanding.
Often people come to me when they are wanting their lives to change, but they are unsure how or where to begin. I am very passionate about helping people transform their relationships, their careers, and their habits to create a more meaningful and intentional life. My ideal client would be someone who is motivated to change and is open to feedback and different perspectives. Most of my clients goals are to reduce depression, reduce anxiety, increase self esteem, reduce people pleasing tendencies, learn how to set boundaries, and process past trauma. I also have a lot of experience helping women leave toxic or abusive relationships.

An ideal client is a 6-18 year-old who is struggling with depression, ADHD, social skills, anxiety, and family communication. This age can be challenging as children navigate their emotions/relationships. With a compassionate and person-centered approach, I aim to create a supportive environment where the client can express their feelings, develop effective communication skills, and build resilience. Together, we will work on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of their struggles, while equipping them with tools and strategies to manage their emotions and improve their overall well-being.

I utilize person centered, CBT, solution focused & reality therapies to help clients make progress and become the best, most authentic version of themselves.
With over a decade experience in a variety of settings, my passion lies in working a hybrid of school based and outpatient - working with teens, adults, and the LGBTQIA+ population. I most enjoy working through life transitions be it changes in circumstances, gender/sexuality, the natural ebbs and flows of life, or taking the next step (adulthood, career, marriage, etc). I am trained in EMDR & TF-CBT, thus I excel at working with trauma. I'm a GALAP pledge signer and take a no gatekeeping approach to serving trans and nonbinary clients. I enjoy helping families find common ground and mutual respect even around difficult subjects.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, combined with person-centered and solution-focused techniques, I help individuals understand what’s holding them back from living the life they want.
Are you feeling alone, misunderstood, down in the dumps, or anxious? Are you struggling with adjusting to what life has thrown at you lately? Do you feel like an imposter, not good at what you do? Perhaps you have suffered traumatic events or are experiencing memories that cause you distress. Maybe you are afraid of being rejected and living with loneliness. Or do you search for meaning in life while trying to understand who you are and where you belong? You long to be happy, understood, accepted, and ready to make a change. It isn’t easy seeking help, but it isn’t any easier handling your daily struggles alone.

I use a combination play techniques and person centered therapy to help direct clients in their path to healing.
My goal is to help others find peace in their lives. I love working with families who struggle to maintain a calm home because It Is Hard! Sometimes we find it’s ourselves that block peace. I also very much enjoy helping all ages individually find out what triggers them and how to regulate to find peace in themselves.

I work from a person centered framework to engage with each client to help them add to their adaptive skills ways to navigate life the way that best fits them.
I specialize in treating individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Many times trauma/stress/distress result in individuals coping and managing alone and I believe the healing work begins when individuals are able to find trusted others to do the work with. I cultivate a safe environment for healing , while being compassionate, understanding, curious, and non-judgmental.

I use talk therapy via person-centered and solution-focused therapy for older children and adults.
Are you a parent/guardian struggling to help your child or adolescent? You may feel helpless and isolated if your child is experiencing behavioral or emotional difficulties. I can help you by working with your child from a developmentally appropriate approach. Each person has a unique journey, and no one should ever feel they must navigate it alone. Therefore, throughout this process, your child will experience a warm, safe, and accepting environment as we work collaboratively to help. I’ll also work to help you understand your child more and provide you with tools to feel more empowered.
