I have worked with people for over 25 years including 10 years in in-patient hospitals, Child Protective Services, school-based services and for 8 years now have directed a program for men who are abusive in their relationships. I have been in private practice for three years specializing in couples and individual work with adults. In addition to my work experience and education my style of working with people is informed by my own personal time in therapy and 25 years as a meditator. I combine clear listening, gentle support and fierce accountability with each client I see.
I combine my practical experience with training from the California Institute of Integral Studies. CIIS is a graduate school that starts with a traditional education and combines it with an Eastern philosophical approach which includes meditation training and cultural anthropology. I also have advanced training in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy.
