With over 21 years of experience with crisis intervention, interpersonal violence, trauma, grief, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder through work as a Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Counselor, Crime Victim’s Advocate within the criminal court system, a Director of a sexual assault and violence prevention program on a college campus, and primary therapist at an outpatient eating disorder treatment center, I am skilled at creating a safe space for clients. I see clients who need support in various stages of life, who are experiencing difficult situations and transitions.

In a non judgmental environment, we will explore areas in your life where you want to grow and over time, develop tools to address the challenges you face and gain a deeper understanding about yourself. We’re unfortunately not born with a manual on how to live life. It’s unpredictable complexities jolt us out of the path we had so carefully planned for ourselves, and leave us in a place of feeling lost. These obstacles can appear in various ways; parenting, relationships, work, loss, violence, and sometimes do not appear at all except for a knot in our stomach. What does one do when the next step is not clear? It is in these moments of uncertainty where I can be of help. There is no right or wrong reason, or person, for therapy; it is an opportunity to put life on pause for an hour, while we work together to uncover the next step.

I have two main specialties. I work with athletes, dancers and musicians of all levels, and business executives who are in transitions as a result of injuries, retirement, or the desire to make changes in direction with their sport, instrument or career; as well as often working with their family members. I also consult with high schools, universities, and professional coaching, training and teaching staffs about their teams and about individual athletes who are in transitions. My other specialty is training clinicians to work with all types of eating disorders, and working directly with people who suffer from eating disorders.
