I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas. I graduated with a MS in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Throughout my career I have had experience in working with clients who have depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, dissociative identity disorder, schizoaffective disorder, gender/identity struggles, life adjustment stressors, grief, phobias, and PTSD/trauma. I am trained to treat clients with PTSD and trauma through Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM).

Sandhya Sharma is a South Asian Indian LPC and certified addictions specialist who works with: Adults, Teens, LGBTQ community, and International Communities. Sandhya will help create a safe and supportive therapy environment and work with you collaboratively to both accurately assess your strengths as well as areas of struggle. She will develop a treatment plan with you to help you facilitate behavioral changes that more successfully meet your goals. Sandhya will help you look at the ways you have been currently coping with life’s problems and help you to develop new strategies from a strengths-based perspective. 

My approach is to empower clients through difficult times of their life, by teaching them the skills of self-compassion and vulnerability. I work with all individuals who feel overwhelmed by life and I am prepared to be there for them no matter what. I believe all people are deserving of unconditional support and compassion and I am prepared to give that unconditional support to all of my clients.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, and I received my Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from UT Southwestern, graduating in 2016. I have experience as a crisis counselor for the community helping children, teens, and adults experiencing suicidal/homicidal ideation. In private practice, I assist individuals suffering from a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, life adjustment issues, personality disorders, and various family issues.
