My name is Anne Marie Allwine LICSW with P.E.E.P.S. Psychotherapy. P.E.E.P.S. stands for: P.eople seeking E.mpathy E.mpowerment P.ersonal growth and S.upport. I have worked in the mental health field for over 30 years in a variety of settings, most recently as the School Counselor for a private high school. I use a supportive strengths-based approach but also will challenge one's thoughts if they are irrational or self- destructive (CBT). I find it is also helpful to assist people to learn coping strategies and build skills that work for them.
I specialize in working with teens and pre-teens but also work with school-aged children and with young adults. My areas of expertise are anxiety and depression, grief/loss, issues of transition such as moving to a new area or new school, self image issues, relationship problems, stress management, LGBTQ-related concerns, and making healthy decisions.
My practice office is comfortable and spacious and is conveniently located in downtown Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. I meet both in person or do telehealth for those over the age of 13 or can do a combination. I take many insurances and self-pay. I offer day and evening appointments.
