** NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS**I work with parents and children, married couples and individuals. I am interested in evaluating the whole person within their systems including, primary attachment relationships, implicit and explicit messages that adults received as children, the stress/ disease connection, looking at maladaptive patterns established in childhood that need to be corrected to return to the authentic self. I use the work of Gabor Mate, MD and Dan Siegel, MD in my treatment of individuals and families.
I use a variety of therapeutic tools, including but not limited to, Interpersonal Neurobiology, family of origin, play therapy, attachment theory, strengths-focused models, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic and couple's therapy practices based on the IMAGO work of Harville Hendricks.
I have also worked extensively with Hispanic and African clients.
Recent training: Interpersonal Neurobiology Brain Development in Teens Blended Families Reactive Attachment Disorder Working to Raise Confident Children Greenspan's Floortime model Play Therapy with Traumatized Children Children and Families in High Conflict Divorce IMAGO Couple's Counseling Circle of Security Attachment Theory & Infant Brain Development at UCLA The Stress/Disease connection
