At Peace of Mind Wellness, we believe therapy is about more than just getting through the day. Our work focuses on deeper healing—understanding how you got here, why it hurts, and what your mind and body have been carrying. We support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship patterns, identity, neurodivergence, and life transitions with care that is warm, collaborative, and deeply attuned. Our goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and more connected to yourself, your story, and who you are beyond what you’ve been through.
Our Team
My ideal clients are often deep feelers, overthinkers, cycle-breakers, helpers, and high-achievers who look like they are holding it together but feel overwhelmed inside. Many come to therapy feeling stuck in old patterns, relationship pain, trauma, anxiety, shame, or burnout. Together, we’ll look beneath the surface of your symptoms to understand the patterns, experiences, and protective responses that shaped them. I help clients connect the dots, understand their nervous system, process what feels unresolved, and build a more grounded relationship with themselves and others.

My name is Marissa, and I look forward to working with you. I believe that building a strong therapeutic alliance will be essential to the growth process. When we are struggling in life, feeling stuck, hurt, confused, or alone we all deserve a safe space to talk with someone who will not judge us but instead walk alongside us to foster change and growth. I view therapy as a collaborative process and that you will get out of therapy what you put into therapy.

If you’re used to holding everything together for everyone else, you may not have had space to process what you’ve been through. Whether you're navigating trauma from your childhood, relationships, or reproductive journey, it can feel overwhelming, disconnecting, and hard to put into words. You don’t have to carry that alone anymore.
I work with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma, including sexual abuse, domestic violence, abusive relationships, infertility, and reproductive trauma.

When I think of the counseling process, I view it as a journey of growth. It is something that takes time, and like anything worthwhile, there are highs and lows. If we are a good fit, I want to be there with you every step of the way. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe space for each moment of your journey and to really experience those moments with you. I strive to be empathetic and create a warm and welcoming environment for all. No matter what you’re going through, we can begin this journey together!

Hello and welcome! My name is Emily, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training. I know how scary it is to feel stuck and alone, and I am here to help you through it. When it feels like your world is upside down, I want to work together to help you get back on a path of healing and wellness.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Lawrence University majoring in psychology and neuroscience and minoring in biology. I am fascinated with the brain and understanding our internal experiences as they relate to the outside world. I believe that the better we are able to know and understand ourselves, the fuller our lives can be.
