Every person can grow when offered compassion, support, and the opportunity to learn new skills in research-based therapy. To help my clients achieve their goals, I actively evaluate their needs and build each person a scientifically grounded care plan. I support my clients in their growth, whether they want to improve their mental health, make the most of their relationships or professional life, or cope with chronic illness. I am proud to work with people who have diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and personal identities.
My training is from Emory University and Columbia Medical Center, and I am a psychology professor at Whitman College. This background enables me to leverage psychological science for my clients' benefit. My treatments are informed primarily by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with other evidence-based and culturally affirmative elements as needed.
