We all fall short. We all have issues. No one person's issues is worse than anyone else's issues; as such we all need someone to come alongside every once in a while. Sometimes it's for support, sometimes it's for clarity. When there is someone to help you bear your burdens they become lighter, more tolerable. When a client enters therapy hopefully they have an open heart, an open mind for therapy is about learning about the things that cause us pain and then learning how to cope with them. No one is broken; brokenness implies the inability to be repaired. We are all wounded and wounds heal, scars remind us of how stong we are.
I am first and foremost a Christian and so therapy is led from that perspective. However, as I am also therapeutically trained, so therapy can be done in a purely non-Christian manner, should the client decide. I help with dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, parenting and career guidance or simply issues of day to day living.
Deciding to do therapy is an act of courage.
