About
Paula J. Lambur, MS, LCPC, CADC, believes that by acknowledging your pain, accepting struggles, and making peace with the past, you can heal. She is here to help clients learn to move forward in a meaningful way despite what has come before or what is occurring now. Paula believes that our past experiences influence how we perceive ourselves and how we interact with our life now. These past filters or lenses may have been protective then but perhaps not now. They may have you feeling stuck, unworthy, or confused.
This can stem from distorted beliefs of ourselves, others, and life. Therapy can help you understand that, so you can shift your focus. Learning this new focus and incorporating new coping skills will help to assist you now and down the road of life.
In addition to various mood disorders, phase of life issues, severe mental illness and disappointments, Paula has extensive history working with clients affected by addiction. Her years of working with clients struggling, suffering from this unique pain has allowed her to witness incredible courage in addressing the guilt, anger & confusion of addiction.
