I've been a counselor for almost 40 years now. I try to strike a balance between listening, educating, and application. I believe that we all have the same basic healthy needs, but the problems arise in how we try, or don't try, to get those needs met. My practice is called Right Choices Counseling because most people coming for counseling are looking to make better choices with their life, moving forward.
My approach is eclectic, having had training in several different approaches (CBT, RT, etc.) but, over time, you find your own style. There is no one-size-fits-all approach in counseling as each case may require a different fit. I work primarily with relationship issues, men's issues and adjustment problems - doing both individual and couple's work.
