I help struggling individuals, distant couples, and hurting families. I provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for people to explore their pain and challenges without fear of judgment. Building a strong relationship where my clients know they are cared for and are free to laugh or cry (we do a lot of both) is extremely important to me. As a social worker at heart, I try to help those I work with recognize the strengths they have as well as to recognize where one's lifestyle may be out of balance with one's personal values.
For nearly 25 years I have helped people overcome mental illness, ADHD, addictions, grief and other challenges. We often start by discussing the neuroscience (in everyday language) at the root of the problem and build interventions from there. Christian counseling is available for those who seek it.
My spiritual mentor taught me that, 'No one cares what you have to say until they know that you care,' which has been a foundation of my practice. To heal or recover is a journey and I do my best to provide wisdom, comfort and safety along the way.
