I work with adults and couples who need solutions for personal, interpersonal or situational issues. Problems in one's life often appear as depression or anxiety, a seemingly unresolvable situation, or bickering with a spouse over relatively minor issues. Together, you and I will seek to understand the causes and find solutions. I am a licensed psychologist, practicing psychotherapist, college professor, and author. I've talked to many clients about their lives, thoughts, and experiences - what's been done to them, what they have done, and how they have survived.

Therapy begins with a telephone contact to determine if a face to face meeting would be worthwhile. At our first meeting, we begin developing a treatment plan, what you want from therapy. Through important conversations, we find the real problem to create the opportunity for real solutions.

My clients tell me that I am easy to talk to, and I give feedback. Psychotherapy is about talking cooperatively, with mutual trust and honesty. It is my privilege to listen and talk with people. Together, let's be clear about your goals. Solutions can take many forms. My work is to meet you in your struggle and help you process, heal, and move on.
