As of September 2026, I am accepting new clients for both in-person work and teletherapy. I specialize in helping high-achieving professionals with anxiety, substance use, and related issues. My approach centers on shifting fundamental feelings and emotions and avoiding extensive intellectualized analysis of near-term stressors and personal history. I provide therapy that is focused, ambitious, and finite. I believe good therapy should start to work relatively quickly (in the first 2-6 sessions). If change doesn't start in that timeframe, we'll talk about what or who might serve you better.

My work is centered on EMDR which I find to be a powerful tool for treating both anxiety and substance use, achieving significant change in a short timeframe. (I did EMDR as a client and it changed my life.) I complement EMDR with other evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and others.

This is my second career after many years in corporate finance, and the shift has been hugely life-affirming for me. I feel very fortunate to have a job I actually enjoy thinking about on the weekends. I take this work seriously, but also derive great joy from what I do, and I think my clients would tell you that both of those show up in session.

I adapt my approach to individual clients, but I use a lot of EMDR in my work. This starts with a lot of exploring and history-taking to gauge what will be most fruitful to address, then preparation and rapport-building to make sure we know what starting point and pace of work is best for you, and finally processing difficult experiences in a way that is safe but change-inducing.
