I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and have been in private practice for 32 years. Half of my practice is with adults. Issues addressed range from depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anger to relationship and family difficulties. In addition, I counsel couples marrying or divorcing. I am trained as a family mediator. The other half of my practice is with children and adolescents in individual and group therapy.
I use play therapy with children along with talk therapy. The % of play vs. talk is determined by the child's age, maturity, and issues. My experience working with children is as an elementary school teacher and counselor and play therapy training in my Master's program and various seminars.
As a gifted specialist, I taught gifted 5th and 6th graders and did testing for a gifted program for 5th-8th grade.

Love & Logic Parenting
This parenting group runs for 7 weeks. By using Love & Logic and therapists' 17 years of experience parents practice new skills each week and have an opportunity to process what worked and what did not work during the week. Group participants assist in coming up with strategies for difficult situations. Therapists encourage both parents to attend for optimum benefit.

Life Management
During this 10 week group, participants will identify core beliefts and self-defeating thoughts that keep them stuck. They will learn how to rewrite and mute or at least turn down the volume on these tapes that are causing depression, anger, anxiety, and low self-esteem and keeping them from having the life and relationships they want.
