Have you been struggling with getting things done, being kind to yourself, saying "no" and setting boundaries, or feel like your anxiety has been getting in the way of doing what you want to do and being present in your life? I specialize in issues of anxiety, communication, improving mood, exploring identity, and increasing self-compassion and confidence. I know the importance of establishing a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship, and start by having a conversation about what you are looking for support with and how we can work on that together.
I incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness, acceptance, cognitive behavioral therapy, and art therapy into my practice. Art therapy is another way to express and explore feelings and experiences, and does not require any past art experience. I do offer traditional talk therapy as well.
As a trauma informed therapist I understand that stressful experiences impact people in many different ways. You might have noticed changes in your emotional and physical health, relationships, and sense of safety. I'm passionate about helping you develop strategies and coping skills that promote independence, and help you feel successful in everyday life.
