About
Are you a people-pleasing person? Afraid of hurting others' feelings by saying no to them? Do you chronically worry, feel depressed and irritable? Do you experience explosive anger towards your family? Anxiety may make you feel tense and have uncomfortable physical sensations such as racing heartbeat, nausea, or difficulty breathing. In a supportive environment, I can teach you skills to discover why anxiety, or low self-confidence and fear of independence control your life. We'll focus on understanding the source of these and other challenges so that with a new awareness you may reclaim your real self.
I specialize in the practice of marriage and family therapy and am experienced in assisting parents to resolve difficulties with their children as they go through developmental stages. I also work with young adults facing intimacy challenges in their relationships that may relate to disturbances in their family of origin.
With Imago Couple Therapy I can help you discover how early unresolved issues prevent you from enjoying satisfying adult relationship. A new self-awareness will heal yourself and your partner. Couples might wish to use extended sessions (30 or 45 minutes extra) besides the 45 minute sessions covered by insurances.
