A person comes to therapy for many reasons; often, it is to gain more of something in their life, reduce something in their life, or a combination of the two. Examples could be, "I want more joy", "I want less anxiety and depression", "I want more inner calm and feelings of ease", "I want to be a better spouse or parent", and much more. Sometimes a person may feel entangled by repeating patterns and inner critics, or be stuck in a situation, leaving them uncertain about how to do something different.
I have extensive training and experience in the practice of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). IFS Therapy is effective in working with unprocessed beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. While I primarily practice IFS therapy, I can also incorporate other models of psychotherapy.
I can help you navigate challenges and heal from trauma. By relating to yourself differently, you can release the constraints that keep you in rigid patterns. Therapy increases your understanding of your behavior, alleviates emotional burdens, and enhances your sense of personal agency, leading to greater ease in your life.
