My name is Patrick Smith and I have 22 years of experience as a Professional Counselor. I offer a solution-focused approach to therapy. My specialties include helping clients with anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol concerns, and relationship issues. I offer a safe, non-judgmental setting where you can honestly discuss the issues you are facing. My approach is one that helps you cope and find solutions while focusing on your values. CBT, psychodynamic, twelve-step facilitation, and interpersonal therapies are those I use most frequently with my clients.
I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, family or relationship issues. I also have an extensive background working with people experiencing issues at work or school. Finally, I also work with those who would like to incorporate their spirituality into their therapy.
I have always enjoyed listening to the experiences of others. I became a therapist because I am intrigued by the fact that each of us has a story. This narrative has shaped our realities: Who we are, how we live - our goals, values, and what is most meaningful to us. Helping others navigate life's difficulties and lead more fulfilling lives has been my life.
