We usually seek therapy because we're interested in change. Sometimes it’s to change something specific—how we interact with a particular person, a way in which we cope with stress, or our feelings toward some life event. Other times we aim for larger transformations, looking to increase our self-awareness, or to achieve more truth and meaning in our relationships or careers. Whatever your reason, finding the right support is an important first step. As your therapist, I'll meet you with curiosity, warmth, and respect, and work to create an authentic space where we'll reflect on ways forward toward a fuller, more balanced life.
Together, we'll consider what isn’t working and develop insights for how to change. I combine multiple treatment techniques, from contemporary psychodynamic methods to CBT and other solution-focused approaches. Often, this involves exploring your emotions, experiences and relationships to identify and overcome patterns that hold you back or cause you pain.
In addition to my practice, I hold a volunteer faculty appointment at NYU School of Medicine. I'm equipped to treat a range of conditions, with particular expertise in substance misuse and addictions, mood and anxiety disorders, social insecurities, identity concerns, intimacy and attachment difficulties, and various life adjustments.
