I enjoy working with individuals and couples who are committed to improving their life situations . We work together to make desired changes that are present focused and applicable in current life situations. This insures that desired changes are workable for an individual's needs. I provide an atmosphere of respect and trust where one can explore new ideas and techniques. I want my clients to feel better when they leave the office than when they arrived.
I work best with clients who identify as GLBTQ as well as friends or family of this population. I work with both adolescents and adults. We work to undo the damage of being stereotyped, and isolated. I also understand individual chemical addiction issues and have worked most of the last 20 years in residential drug and alcohol treatment centers.
With Clinical Hypnotherapy (CH), I use metaphors to help understand concepts. CH is a powerful way to make changes quickly. I believe that one has to visualize what that change might be like in their lives in order to achieve permanent change and deal with the impact that change manifests.
