My ideal client will be okay with a little friendliness and curiosity. Gradually we will figure out where you want to go and what goals are most in mind, building a strong alliance along the way. I enjoy working with many kinds of people and problems, and I ask my clients to set the pace, asking some of the questions themselves. I both listen and sometimes comment, and in general I love the work I do. If I am a good fit, I'm looking forward to meeting you soon. Please know I welcome people experiencing grief from outright loss or the numerous losses due to the pandemic. You deserve a chance to be heard and to process.
I have strong experience working with folks with bipolar disorder and/or their families. My understanding in this area is comprehensive and unique. I'm passionate about work with teens, with people experiencing grief, life transitions, anxiety or interpersonal challenges, and I also work with couples regularly.
When you come to my therapy you are in a safe space: a place to explore the things that bother you and to be really respected and heard. Therapy is not easy, but many people over time feel supported by me to explore the hardest things and over time they competently take over my job and are able to face their challenges with much greater confidence.
