I have been practicing as a social worker since 2018. I have had the good fortune to work for several types of agencies during that time and have experience with severe, persistent mental illness as a result of my time working for an inpatient psychiatric unit as well as experience working as a therapist in community mental health. I am currently working with adults aged 18 and up. I have been successfully treating first responders, military personnel, and survivors of domestic violence and child abuse.
During the first session we will complete an intake assessment and discuss the plan that will be utilized to help accomplish the stated goals. I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with life, whether that takes the form of challenges with parenting, relationship conflict, all forms of abuse and trauma.
I am a trauma survivor who is also the mother of two amazing children on the Autism Spectrum. As a result of these two circumstances, I have spent time on the other side of the therapeutic relationship and became a therapist to pay back the time and attention that was given to me while my family was needing healing and support.
