Feelings of anxiety, depression, or “stuckness” can be debilitating, isolating and feel permanent. We can work together to build the skills you need to feel empowered and able to cope with and overcome the emotions that may currently feel unbearable. I can support you through life transitions - from grief and loss, to figuring out how to best communicate with a loved one or set boundaries with family, friends or coworkers. My practice is founded in tenets of intersectional feminist counseling and liberation therapy theories, and is mindfulness-focused and trauma-informed - sensitive to your individual needs, goals and strengths.
Having foundational training with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and different experiences of trauma, my style is eclectic and I utilize various therapeutic methods depending on your need. My job is to work with you to identify the method that will best fit you.
I believe you have the ability to achieve your goals and my role is to help you through that process. I am here to help you identify your goals (what would you like your life to look like/feel like after therapy?) and focus on building a toolbox of skills to help you achieve those goals.
