Announcement icon Given the challenges of work/home life, during Covid, I am currently meeting clients via audio/.video and phone Telehealth sessions.
Deciding to seek out help is often not an easy decision. As a relationship and marital therapist and a seasoned infertility counselor who also experienced both infertility and pregnancy loss, I am very aware of the impact decision-making choices have on people''s daily lives and relationships. My approach is interactive and solution focused, and rooted in the belief system that with knowledge, the right support systems, and practical tools one can overcome any challenges in their relationship/marital conflicts, anxiety, depression, and recurring negative thoughts in their daily lives and their infertility and pregnancy loss.
Whether you are at an impasse in your life, have conflicted relationships,or marital problems, unclear about your fertility options, indecisive about using an egg/sperm/embryo donor, overwhelmed by pregnancy losses, your parenting can through counseling find tools to address your life conflicts and your family building options.
My specialties include:relationship conflicts, Marital problems and issues infertility; high risk pregnancy; pregnancy loss; termination and multi-fetal reduction; postpartum depression; using an egg/sperm/embryo donor, parenting questions, raising donor-conceived children, talking to others about your family building; and coaching tools for children/adults with ADHD/LD.

Patricia Mendell's Groups

Family Building Network for Families

The FBN monthly support group brings together families formed with the help of egg/sperm/embryo donation and/or surrogacy as well as parents-to-be; giving them the opportunity to ask questions, get answers to their concerns, share experiences and feel supported. Many parents are unsure whether they should tell their children and others about their conception. Meetings provide a safe and comfortable place where parents feel supported and not alone. Often, it is through listening and sharing stories with others that parents gain the confidence needed to create lasting healthy connections with their donor-conceived children.
