I don't have a "typical" client I look forward to meeting, but anyone who has patterns they want to understand and change could be a good therapy match with me. Most of the time clients are seeking some kind of relief after their own solutions have failed them. We will work together to understand your difficulties from a behavioral/ cognitive perspective to develop the best plan for you. From there I can guide you to develop new ways to think and feel.
I have a unique set of skills in behavioral and cognitive analysis. I adapt these to address social-emotional and thinking-behavioral issues in children and adults. My treatment perspective is about understanding your lived experiences and applying my understanding of behavior, emotions, learning and context to your problems.
Starting a therapy relationship is a big deal. I don't take it lightly that you are asking a stranger to help with very personal and protected parts of yourself. Before each of us agrees to start we will have a "pre-treatment" call where both of us can assess our fit. I look forward to meeting you!
