My name is Patricia M. Green and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 35 years of experience with young children, adolescents, adults and families. My Master's Degree in Social Work is from Rutgers University. I specialize in helping individuals, children and families impacted by trauma, depression, abuse/neglect, domestic violence, behavioral challenges, grief/loss, and various disabilities including ADHD, Autism, and Multiple Disabilities. I am Trauma-Focused Trained. I am behaviorally based so clients often learn strategies in sessions to practice, explore and carry over in their daily lives.
I use various approaches to my therapeutic work including: Systems Perspective utilizing the entire family, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-based Focus and Play Therapy with young children. Additionally, I provide Trauma-Focused therapy for clients who have experienced trauma in their lives.Mindfulness and strength-based practices are encouraged.
I work with my clients by meeting them where they are at and work on concerns they bring to therapy. I encourage clients to practice strategies addressed in therapy. I believe all individuals have the capacity to make positive changes if provided with the appropriate tools and in engaging people to feel empowered to change.
