We may have all asked ourselves at one time or another...."How did I (or we) get here?"... During these times, talking to someone who understands helps. I believe that it takes courage and strength to seek change. It is through this change that we begin to feel better not only about ourselves, but about our life circumstances. I always feel honored that clients trust me enough to share their stories. Much of my work has been dedicated to helping those who are struggling with depression or experiencing anxiety. I will do my best to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
I believe that understanding you and the reasons why you are seeking counseling are essential to our work together. I tend to use practical strategies; meaning strategies you can utilize outside of the office setting. Clients often ask, "what is my homework?" It will feel empowering to work on your goals both in and outside of the therapy setting.
