I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 yrs. experience in partnering with my clients to assist in maximizing their wellness. I have worked extensively with trauma, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, pain management, substance abuse, life skills, and general personal well-being. I prefer to work with clients 18 and older. I am comfortable treating all emotional/mental health conditions however I specialize in PTSD, Anxiety-based disorders, all depressive conditions, adjustment disorders, substance abuse disorders, grief-related disorders, and relational issues with families or couples.
I am clinically trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Collaborative Management and Assessment of Suicidality (CAMS), Couples Counseling, Grief Therapy, Strengths-based, Substance Abuse, Trauma Informed Therapy, and Reality Therapy.
The first session is about learning about you first and your area of concern. We will briefly take some time and get the housekeeping issues out of the way. Now down to the nitty gritty of the situation. Sometimes this can feel intrusive, but we will review the assessment you provide, and I may ask assistance with filling in any important blanks.
