My name is Patricia Lamas and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Riverside California and working with clients statewide via Telehealth. My approach varies based on the needs of the client but in general, it focuses on assessing the reason that brings the client to therapy, collaborating in identifying and establishing therapy goals, developing a plan, and focusing on skills development to help clients deal with life challenges.
Currently, I have focused my practice on working with adults who are seeking support to develop new skills to improve their life situation. I help my clients to navigate through these difficult life transitions and develop skills, get an understanding of their life situation, and develop a more positive outlook on their lives.
My approach to goal setting with clients is working together to identify and establish goals. Together we will explore symptoms, decide goals, and develop a plan to accomplish them. Throughout the time in treatment, we will review goals to evaluate progress and determine if we need to continue with the same approach or add a new one.
