Hello! I am Pat (they/he), a Queer and trans Licensed Social Worker. My past work as a neuroscience researcher, along with my own mental health struggles, drove me towards therapy as a calling. I am Queer-friendly, fat-positive, kink and ENM friendly, and anti-oppression in my stances; as much as I can, I want the therapy space to be an open and healing environment rather than one that recreates systemic inequality.
I specialize in anxiety, OCD, phobias, perfectionism, and stress - especially when they intersect with queer and trans experiences or neurodivergence. A typical plan may include building coping skills, using ERP to face fears gradually, and developing a problem-solving toolkit you can apply outside of sessions.
It’s indescribably hard out there, and sometimes daily tasks feel pointless given the harm our communities face. I won’t tell you you’re wrong for feeling angry or scared - I feel it too. And yet, we keep living, creating, and finding connection. Therapy can be a place to do that together, and I’d be honored to join you in the process.
