I believe that psychotherapy is very useful in connecting deeply with oneself and subsequently with others. Anxiety and depression are often related to faulty coping mechanisms developed in childhood that lead to painful relationships. Being happy in work and love are the pillars of a rewarding and fulfilled life and therapy makes this possible.
I practice a psychodynamic insight-oriented approach which is gaining insight into how we relate to others. I use all theory bases that apply to a particular situation.
I was trained at the Washington School of Psychiatry in the latest treatment approaches. I am multi-cultural and have lived in Africa, Asia and Europe, which adds to my understanding of humanity and diversity. I was an Adjunct Professor at Howard University for 20 years until 2016.
